Isaac Onyango: Mitochondrial Bioenergetics
Isaac Onyango is a Senior Scientist at Gencia. His research expertise includes growth factors, cell death mechanisms and modulation of mitochondrial biogenesis in metabolic diseases. His work utilizes molecular and biochemical analysis of signaling pathways after genetic, pharmacological, and/or physiological manipulation to interrogate their effects on cellular bioenergetics. Prior to joining Gencia he held faculty research positions at the University of Virginia Department of Neuroscience and Neurology and the University of Kansas Department of Neurology and Molecular and Integrative Physiology. Isaac received his Ph.D. from Uppsala University.
